Effikal International, the market leader in Heating, Venting and Air Conditioning products originally published its Web site in 1999. After more than four years of ROI, the Web site no longer accurately represented the progressive and innovative nature of the company. Distributors and dealers had to rely on traditional methods of support from this well known manufacturer of quality HVAC dampers, flues and vents.

WIT’s Solution
WIT’s creative department worked closely with Effikal managers to produce a new Web site design and graphically layered universal navigation system. The new design enhances the quality leadership position that Effikal has in the industry and promotes the innovative attributes of the company. In addition to being easily navigable and attractive, the interface provides all visitors with a user-friendly opportunity to learn more about Effikal and its products in a brand-intensive atmosphere.

Effikal managers can add, edit or delete information to the Web site instantaneously through an easy-to-use CMS interface developed by WIT. Authorized staff members capable of typing and using an Internet browser may make changes to the Effikal Web site content. The CMS allows for changes to be made within the newly designed Flash Web site and keeps the site’s look and feel consistent across all sections. Marketing and HR managers may make news and job posting changes with photos and text. Pre-defined business rules allow Effikal the flexibility they need to make changes without compromising the overall branding image of the site.

Business Value
The addition of timely information and an attractive redesign has made the Effikal Web site more useful to distributors and contractors seeking information about products and installation. Electrical and dimensional specification sheets are available via download, along with online demonstrations of the core products.

The use of dynamic Flash technology has helped to confirm Effikal as the quality, innovative leader in the market, while improving overall communication and distributor support.
